Shamanic Water Peace Ceremony Laui, Unterwasser

It was mystical, peaceful and magical that Saturday, beyond the seven mountains in the enchanted valley. Rain clouds, drifting mist, sturdy fir trees and the rushing Thur welcomed us. The setting was perfect. The nature spirits were ready to join us in working for peace on Earth.

Like the seven dwarves, our small group set out into the Laui, at the very back of the Toggenburg. It was quiet, yet at the same time lively and full of soul. Our fire defied the rain, as if it too wanted to make its contribution to peace. We greeted the local spirits: the mountain spirits between Säntis and Churfirsten, the mist spirits, the water spirits, the woodland and meadow beings, the air spirits and many more. Invisible, and yet present. They were all there. Together we danced, laughed and sang. We gave strength to our wishes for peace and charged the fresh spring water of the Thur with them. A sense of community, humility, trust and hope for this world filled our hearts as we handed our peace water to the Thur, so that she might carry it out into the wide world.

Alone we are a single drop. Together we become an ocean of peace.
